夏天 Pell Grant Eligibility

Year-Round Pell

The Federal Pell Grant Program allows eligible students to receive up to 150 percent of the student’s Federal Pell Grant scheduled award. This is known as “Year-Round 佩尔”. 学生 who were enrolled full time in the 秋天 and 春天 semesters are allowed to receive up to an additional full Federal Pell Grant for the 夏天. 这个源 of financial assistance is a great way for students to complete their degrees faster.

Eligibility Requirements:

• 学生 must be eligible to receive Federal Pell Grant for the payment period.
• 学生 must be enrolled at least half-time.
• 学生 must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) (link to SAP page)
• 学生 must have utilized 100% of the Federal Pell Grant prior to receiving additional 基金.

Things to Consider:

• Only courses that count toward your program should be taken.
• 夏天 Federal Pell counts toward a student’s Lifetime Eligibility Used.
• Award amount cannot exceed the maximum award for one payment period.

Calculating Lifetime Eligibility Used

Lifetime Eligibility Used (LEU) is the amount of Federal Pell Grant 基金 a student can receive over their lifetime. LEU is limited by federal law to the equivalent of six years and/or 600%.

Based on the table above, a student who is disbursed for full-time enrollment status for both the 秋天 and 春天 semesters will have a LEU of 100% for the academic year. However, a student who is disbursed half-time enrollment status for the 秋天 (25% LEU) and full-time enrollment status for the 春天 (50% LEU) will have a LEU of 75% for the Academic Year. To check their LEU percentage, students should visit the Federal Student Aid Website and log in using their FSA ID.

学生 was enrolled and disbursed full-time enrollment for the 秋天 and 春天 semesters. 学生 enrolls in less than half-time enrollment for the 夏天. Based on eligibility requirements, the student met the 100% during the 秋天 and 春天 semesters and is eligible for an additional half-time disbursement for the summer.

Examples of 夏天 Aid
